Sirris is the knowledge centre for the Belgian technological industry, helping companies (> 75% SME) to innovate. Sirris has 140 technological experts and 8 different application labs and helps about 1500 industrial companies per year. The programmes “Precision Manufacturing” and “Smart and Digital Factory” will participate in this project. Both programmes have relevant machining expertise, state-of-the-art infrastructure and direct access to the machining industry (members of Sirris).

In particular:

• Every year the company helps on 3,000 occasions in 1,500 industrial companies, 75% of which are SMEs.
• Its portfolio contains nearly 5,000 customers and has more than 2,500 member companies.
• The company has over 140 in-house experts spread over 8 different sites in Belgium.
• It was founded in 1949 by Agoria, the Federation of the technological industry.
